I am a primary care and program integration specialist with experience in health policy, health education, and project management in Toronto, NYC, and San Francisco. My background in health program implementation and policy development informs and drives my approach in the work I do. I am fuelled by my passion for improvement in healthcare and health access for all. I consider myself eager to build on both my academic foundations and work experiences through continued professional development and events.
My passion for improving healthcare has lead to me to my most recent success at Cancer Care Ontario. Here, I have recently managed and supported the Primary Care team in successfully implementing a new recommended screening test for colorectal cancer in Ontario. In the first 2 months of implementation, approximately 160,00 screening tests were ordered!
Supporting primary care and cancer screening in Ontario has also allowed me to develop and manage multiple continuing medical education courses for primary care providers that are provincially and nationally available. I enjoy the challenges of provincial and national projects, but appreciate regional and local differences in the healthcare landscapes.
I am currently working as a Senior Health Analyst - but, I am always interested in a new challenge.
